At The Family Mule, we have raised our kids with a simple philosophy:

"Take 'em when they're babies so they're not babies when you take 'em."

And we did. We started with working in the garden & bike riding around the around the neighborhood to the local parks. Then picnic dinners and tossing Frisbees at local parks. Sledding and building snow-gators in the winter. Ramping up to ski & snowboarding at Mt. Hood's Cooper Spur. Camping at Mt. Rainier's Ohanapecosh and Olympic Pennisula with a bunch of families.

Not always epic, but consistently outside for fun, laughter and adventures. Maybe a small dose of competition here and there, but always a cup of hot chocolate at the base or a quick trip to Pig & Pancake for waffles.

We know how hard it is to pack for all of the sizes, growth spurts, gobs of gear, toys and LOTS of snacks. It isn't easy. But it is always worth it. We have so many great memories and we hope you do too. We celebrate the parents, aunts & uncles, Grammys & Papas, and oodles of friends who fill  your village and get your family outside (for everyone in your "family")!
